Signed Schizophonia Vinyl (1977)

£25.00

Unplayed, From the original 1977 first batch of pressings, in full gatefold sleeve. Signed by Mike Batt and taken from his personal archives. Only a few remaining. This was Mike’s first solo album as an artist, made after the Wombles years and several solo singles. The style is ambitious and original, and much of it could be described as progressive rock, although Batt does not recognise that genre description as applying to his work. The first side of the album is a “concept” piece based on the uprising of Berber warriors in support of Mohammed V in the early 1950s. The second side contains one track from the same concept, and the remainder is a set of separate songs, all specially written for this album, except for an unusual uptempo cover of “Please Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood”
